Skylar’s Adventure was a reboot of the 2017 3D platformer Skylar & Plux: Adventure on Clover Island. Development began in 2020, where I worked primarily as an Environment Artist while also contributing to lighting, materials, enemies, and level blockout. The project was ultimately cancelled.
Here you can see some of the environments, lighting, enemies and materials I've done for the Skylar and Plux Reboot. I've collaborated with our level designer Sebastian Velazquez to create the layout for the levels and Concept artist Beatrice Karlsson for the enemy design.
My contributions included:
- Created 3D assets for environments and enemies
- Created tiling materials and trim sheets
- Set up shaders in Unreal Engine 4
- Set dressed environments
- Set up lighting, post-process and shaders
- Created VFX for environments and gameplay elements
- Contributed to 3D concepting and level blockout
- Performance optimization and asset integration for gameplay
